9/12/09 Cles to Siusi

It was a 70-mile day today. There again were several options to ride. One was touted as having a portion of the ride with a consistent 22% grade. Of course it was less than predicted. The Garmin said 18 and 19% at it’s steepest. Either way it was a lot of work but the road was beautiful and wound it’s way through farmland. It was starting to sprinkle and people were busily raking up the hay to get it into the barns before it got too wet. Unfortunately the group I was in got soaked by the time we made it to the hotel.

The hotel sits below a huge rock cliff and it now feels like we are in the mountains.
