9/10/09 Levico to Cles

What a beautiful ride. I’ve fallen in love with vineyards in Italy during fall harvest. The other prominent crop is apples. They grow the apples like they grow grapes – on trellises. The apples all look perfect in form and color just like the grapes.

Cles is another medium size town. There is a beautiful overlook built out of the side of a hill that overlooks mostly the apple orchards. Many of the orchards are covered in these big nets to I assume keep the birds off. Why some get the nets and others don’t I’m not sure. We were in Cles for 2 nights.
